When you are looking for an online registry scan you need to be careful. You must make sure to download from trusted sites only whether it's free or not. If you are not careful then you may download spy ware or a virus.
This advice is easier said than done I know. It's hard to determine what site are trusted sites. But I have a suggestion, go to the original site of your operating system manufacturer. It's always a good idea to perform a system scan before doing anything with the registry. A scan will tell if your registry needs cleaning or not. Most registry cleaners offer a free system scan. With the online registry scan it give you two options, “scan” or “repair or clean”. To being with you should scan to locate the problem areas. Then the “clean or repair” should be run. It will remove or restore the damaged parts.
