If your computer seems slower than it did when you first brought it home, crashes or freezes frequently, gives weird errors, or you see the blue screen of death then you may need to clean out your registry. I am going to discuss what needs to be done to make sure you get a clean registry.
You should determine how you are going to clean your registry. It is possible to clean out your Windows registry on your own but it is not recommended. One mistake and you will either have your computer in the shop or you will be reinstalling Windows. This is the reason why Microsoft tells users not to touch the registry, don't even look at it. Even people who are very good with computers do not like to mess with the registry.
Your better option is to use a registry repair program. They will scan your registry for problems and then list them for you. You can then decided what you want to keep and what you want to remove. Registry cleaners can also turn off programs that are not being used.
If you have decided to use a professional registry repair program then you will want to do some research and determine which one you want to purchase. Let me say that there are free registry cleaners out there, some have spyware on then and could cause more problems then they are worth. Be sure to read reviews of the different registry cleaners to help you make your decision on which one you want to purchase.
Having a clean registry will ensure your computer keeps running as smoothly as the day you bought it. It is recommended to scan your registry often.
